Aaargh! What a name for a game. It seems the programmers were having too much fun during the development. And given the quality of it, it could’ve easily been Aaaargh, Aaaaaaaargh or even Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Aaargh! for the Commodore 64

Here we have another coin-op conversion that doesn’t work. You could choose between playing an ogre or a dragon. And your mission is to travel through various cities. Then you stomp the buildings and collect the eggs and hamburgers. And you also have to compete against the other character which the computer controls. Well the arcade version wasn’t anything to get excited about. And this conversion is even worse.

Aaargh! for the Commodore 64

First to convert an arcade game it is necessary to preserve the gameplay intact. Then aim for the best possible graphics possible. Aaargh! for the Commodore 64 has neither. Although the backgrounds are not bad. Nevertheless the sprites and the animation are lousy. Everything moves around like a drunken lush. The controls are not responsive and the game is monotonous. And also very difficult. Moreover the sound effects are sub par.
